Frequently Asked Questions What material are your labels made of?
Our labels are 100% polyester. There is a thermal adhesive on one side to allow for the label to be ironed on to any heat resistant material.
Are your labels washproof?
Yes. We use a custom blended indelible black ink on all of our labels. Our labels will not bleed or excessively fade in normal washing conditions and should last the life of the garment. We suggest you round the edges of the label before applying to any items that will be seeing excessive wear or washing. We also suggest you sew the labels on to any fabric that is stretchy.
Are your labels iron-on or sew-on?
Both. All of our labels have a thermal adhesive on one side for ironing. But you can also sew them onto fabrics that are not heat resistant or are stretchy. Our labels are designed with convenience in mind. Iron them, sew them, or do both, whatever is easiest for you.
How are the labels made?
We print the labels ourselves using our own equipment to ensure the highest quality product. Personal attention is given to every order, whether you order 50 labels or 5000 labels, to ensure complete customer satisfaction. We take pride in our product and superb customer service.
How big are your labels?
The width of our labels is 2 inches (5.1 cm). The length depends on how many lines you want and which font you choose. The text of our Standard Font Styles measures about an 1/8 of an inch high. Labels are printed with about 3/8 of an inch in between each label. These measurements are not exact or guaranteed, they are just an example.
Can I have more than 4 lines on my labels?
Yes. You can have as many lines as you want. Just add 4 cents per label for each additional line.
What is the minimum order I can place?
The minimum order for our Standard Font Styles is 50 labels.
Can I check on the status of my order?
Yes. Please email your inquiries to service@barrettlabels.com.All regular internet orders are processed and shipped within 2 business days. All regular fax orders are processed and shipped within 4 business days. All regular mail orders are processed and shipped within 2-3 weeks. All expedited shipments will be sent within 24 hours.
Can I remove your labels?
Yes, just reheat with an iron and pull off the label. But please be careful not to burn yourself, the label can be very hot.
What should I do if I need to make a return?
In the unlikely event you need to return your labels we ask that you please reread our Customer Satisfaction Guarantee. Due to the custom nature of our product we can only accept certain returns. If your return does comply with our policy we will gladly refund the price of the labels or reprint them for you at no extra charge. All you need to do is mail the labels back to us at : Barrett Labels, PO Box 124, Milford, NJ 08848 and contact us by email regarding your problem.
Are your labels cut or perforated?
No, our labels come uncut and unperforated on a roll.
Will your labels stay on in an institutional setting?
Yes, our labels are designed to hold up under institutional laundering.
